Research Highlight

"My research deals with the synthesis of linear block copolymers that self-assemble to form ordered periodic nanostructures. While our primary goal is to produce materials with greater than 100 nm domain spacings for photonic and membrane applications, we are also interested in nanostructures with features in the sub-10 nm regime.

I enjoy being a graduate student at UB because of the possibility of collaborative research within and across departments. I also appreciate the autonomy and flexibility in research that my advisor, Dr. Rzayev, has provided.

Whenever I get the chance, I enjoy going on road trips, eating at restaurants with friends and watching movies."

Congratulations, Jose!
