RESEARCH HIGHLIGHT

My research revolves around the synthesis, functionalization and application of 1,3-dienes to ultimately be applied towards the total synthesis of nannocystin A. My recent publication is an example of functionalizing 1,3 dienes that will be utilized en route to my final goal.

I really appreciate all of the students and faculty that create such a friendly environment that invites, and inspires, engagement, and collaboration throughout the department. Annual events like the Graduate Student Symposium (GSS) highlights this effort.

I have way too many hobbies and activities to list. A few insights to what I like to do ranges from playing sports, to playing guitar and from solving crosswords puzzles, to Rubix cubes. I also like to lift heavy things up and put them back down…. (repeatedly) at the gym, and relax by either reading or playing videogames.

CONGRATULATIONS KYLE!
