About

She was educated in Greece, the United States, and Germany. Before joining UB, she was Andrew Mellon Assistant Professor of Comparative Literature at Vanderbilt University, and a Visiting Assistant Professor of English at the University of Cyprus.

Research Areas

Ancient Greek philosophy and literature; 18th–20th-century English, French, and German literatures; modern European thought; relation of ancients and moderns, with particular emphasis on the reception of tragedy; aesthetics and ethics
