The College of Arts and Sciences is pleased to announce the new Dean's Scholars program! This program has been designed to award our students with funds for experiential learning opportunities. Select incoming freshmen will be notified of this award as part of their scholarship package.
As a Dean's Scholar, students are eligible for a $500 award to be applied towards an approved experiential learning opportunity of their choice. Provided the student retains their original merit scholarship, they will receive an additional $500 in scholarship funds applied to their financial aid package during their sophomore or junior year, or first semester of senior year.
That’s okay! You don’t have to make any decisions right now. Once you enroll at UB, you will receive more information and timely reminders during your freshmen year about how to maximize this opportunity.
Whether you choose to participate in an internship, community
engagement project, study abroad, independent research or a host of
other opportunities, your experience outside the classroom will
sharpen your collaboration and critical thinking skills, enhance
your sense of civic engagement, build your self-confidence and
ensure you are competitive in an ever-evolving job market.
Are you ready to activate your funds for experiential learning during your sophomore, junior or first semester senior year? Please complete the following form regarding your experiential learning participation:
Please note: Students who qualify for this scholarship will receive a letter as part of their admissions packet. If you are unsure about your status, please contact Caitlin Hoekstra.
