The College of Arts and Sciences comprises approximately 450 faculty members and 240 staff members, and is home to over 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Between our 27 departments, 16 programs and 23 centers and institutes, we are responsible for teaching over 350,000 UB credit hours each year, including two-thirds of all undergraduate credit hours.
The willingness to take risks, push boundaries, and boldly embrace global problem-solving is at the forefront of a 21st Century liberal arts education.
