Continuing Education

Continuing Education (CE) in the College of Arts and Sciences offers non-credit, non-degree granting classes, learning programs and opportunities. Continuing Education can include a variety of methods of instruction including: online/hybrid courses, in person (on-campus or off-campus) speaker series, conferences and webinars.

Program development is open to CAS faculty, staff and training professionals. CE programs and courses can be innovative ways to implement new ideas and methods of instruction.

Potential continuing education courses:

  • Programs that integrate with the CAS Strategic Initiatives
    • Example: Sustainability courses offered in person, online or as a hybrid workshop
  • Online courses that include video, group discussion and an assessment
    • Example: four week online course from any department within CAS
  • Workshop, training, conference or speaker series
    • Half day or week-long conference in Communication, English, Physics, Economics, etc. in order to increase skills as an employee
    • Speaker series that includes any CAS department
