Planning to join the University at Buffalo community? That's great! Depending on your student status, there are different things you need to know. The following resources provide vital information that guarantees a smooth application process.

Undergraduate Students

You've done your homework and you know that the College of Arts and Sciences is the place your future begins. Learn the ins and outs of applying to UB, including application deadlines, admissions criteria and special requirements for certain majors. 

The Office of International Undergraduate Admissions exists to provide our international applicants with the knowledge and resources to make informed decisions throughout the application process. 

The College of Arts and Sciences offers advising services tailored to the needs of our undergraduate students. Learn more about the process of applying to a major, or make an appointment to discuss your options with an expert adviser. 

Graduate Students

Applying to a Master's, PhD or Advanced Certificate program is done directly through an academic department. Though application requirements may vary, the UB Graduate School has compiled a list of admissions FAQs and key steps to ensure the process runs smoothly. 

In additional to the general requirements for graduate students, international applicants must adhere to university guidelines regarding their admission. Learn more about these guidelines in the Graduate Student Policies and Procedures manual

Log in to our Online Application Portal to view the status of your UB application. Be sure to use the correct Username and PIN/Password for the application you wish to check. Your admissions status will appear under the "Status" tab within the portal.
