On March 30, Global Gender and Sexuality Studies welcomed Ianna Hawkins Owen, assistant professor of English and African American Studies at Boston University. Owens spoke about her project exploring the intersection of asexuality studies and critical race theory. Owen engaged in a boundary breaking dialogue with a broad group of participants from across the country thanks to the virtual format.

UB Spectrum covered Owen's presentation, which was organized by Professor Kari Winter as part of the GGS department's Women's History Month event series.
