Several of our history majors were invited to present their research as a part of the Celebration of Student Excellence at the Center for the Arts last week.

Noelle Abdallah presented her research on women's role in Zimbabwe's liberation movement. Corrine Cardinale showcased her work from her thesis on the economic structure and labor history of the paper industry in the mid-1800s. Rachel Charette shared her research on women's social activism on college campuses - including UB - during the 1940s, and Lauren Kacherski presented her research on the introduction of the "Australian Ballot" in New York State during the Gilded Age.

Noelle is advised by Professor Ndubueze Mbah, and both Corrine is advised by Professor Tamara Thornton. Lauren's project is overseen by Professor Gail Radford, and Rachel's is by Professor Victoria Wolcott.

What exciting research! Great job, majors!
