Symposium to Look at Realities of Matrimonial Law Practice

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The University at Buffalo Law School will host a symposium on "Matrimonial Law: The Realities of Practice" for law students and recently admitted practitioners from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 3 in 108 O'Brian Hall on the UB North (Amherst) Campus.

The symposium will cover topics that include attorney-client relationship in matrimonial matters, preliminary matters, negotiating agreements, custody issues, discovery and valuation of marital assets and matrimonial trial practice presented by prominent local matrimonial attorneys.

The symposium is sponsored by the New York Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers in cooperation with the UB Law School.

Participants will receive a total of 5.5 CLE credits: 1.0 in ethics, 2.5 in professional practice and 2.0 in skills.
