Media Advisory: Top Buffalo innovators to discuss how failures evolved into success

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo’s New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences (CBLS) will kick-off its Innovation Lecture Series event (formerly known as the Life Sciences Commercialization Lecture Series) with a program titled “Failure: A Necessary Step to Success.”

Panelists will share how their setbacks or obstacles have helped to shape their successes, and demonstrate how failure is not indicative of “the end” but essential to personal growth.

When: 4-5 p.m., Sept. 24, 2015

Where: On the second floor of the CBLS, 701 Ellicott St. Buffalo.

Who: Anthony Johnson, CEO of Empire Genomics, will moderate the panel, which will include Madonna Spitler, COO of Mitigate Injury Management, Pat Whalen, COO of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, David Thiemecke, co-founder and vice president of Algonquin Studios, and Edward Tierney, partner and connector of dots at Brand Mother Strategies.
