Jim McNally

Since his retirement from NFL coaching in 2007, Jim McNally has volunteered tirelessly for UB Athletics.

He has made his mark by turning the annual UB football reunion into a premier event, now attended by hundreds of former players. He has personally communicated with more than 1,500 individuals about the reunion, and assisted in planning and organizing a full weekend of events.

McNally's fundraising efforts have resulted in increased Block B membership, a support group of the Blue and White Club. He is also credited with landing several donor commitments of $10,000 during the Athletic Director's Leadership Circle campaign, and one planned gift to UB in the six-figure range. When traveling extensively with the football program to away games, McNally retains his donor relations role, stewarding donors and potential donors while on the road. His fundraising efforts have also resulted in a significant increase in season ticket sales to Western New Yorkers.

Recently McNally was tapped by Athletics Director Warde Manuel and Associate AD Doug Gnodtke for his input on the search that resulted in UB's new head football coach, Jeff Quinn.
