BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The University at Buffalo Center for the Arts will present Classic Albums Live: The Rolling Stones -- Sticky Fingers on Nov. 12 at 8 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre in the Center for the Arts, UB North Campus.

Classic Albums Live will take one of rock's greatest albums, The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers, and recreate it live on stage using some of the world's greatest musicians, note for note, cut for cut. Originally released in 1971, Sticky Fingers went to No. 1 on the Billboard charts propelled by such hits as "Brown Sugar," "Wild Horses" and "Can't You Hear Me Knocking." After performing the album in its entirety, Classic Albums Live will play another set of Rolling Stones favorites.

This is not a tribute show. "This has never been done before," says series producer, Craig Martin. "There's a real thirst to hear these albums performed start to finish. For many of us this is the music we grew up with - the soundtrack of our lives.

"All of our focus is put into the music" says Martin. "We perform the works of The Rolling Stones the same way an orchestra performs the works of Mozart. We don't bother with imitation or impersonation. We research the album and go to great lengths to reproduce each and every sound live. We never use tape or computers and do whatever it takes to get it right."

Toronto-based Classic Albums Live is a concert series in which top musicians perform classic rock albums in their entirety. A different lineup of musicians performs each album; however, there is a core group that frequently takes part in the performances. Classic Albums Live performed Led Zeppelin IV and Fleetwood Mac's Rumours to enthusiastic crowds in previous seasons at the Center for the Arts.

Tickets for Classic Albums Live: The Rolling Stones -- Sticky Fingers are $27.50 general admission and $17.50 for students (any school). Tickets are available at the Center for the Arts Box Office from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and at all Ticketmaster locations, including ticketmaster.com.
