MEDIA ADVISORY: Obama Event to be Attended by UB Entrepreneurship Grads

UB entrepreneurship graduate Lenny Johnson will have the opportunity to meet President Obama today in Buffalo.

Two graduates of programs in the UB School of Management Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL) will be in attendance today during President Obama's visit to Buffalo.

Lenny Johnson, president of L&D Johnson Plumbing and Heating, and Sundra Ryce, president and CEO of SLR Contracting and Service Company have been invited to today's event at Industrial Support Inc. and may have the opportunity to meet the president.

Johnson is a graduate of the CEL's Allstate Minority and Women Emerging Entrepreneurs program and its Core and Strategic entrepreneurship programs. In August he attended a reception at the White House where he was awarded the Region II Minority Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Ryce also is a graduate of the CEL's Allstate Minority and Women Emerging Entrepreneurs program. She was the keynote speaker at that program's graduation ceremony in December.
