Incoming freshman or undergraduate transfer applicants who are interested in pursuing either a BA in Psychology, BS in Psychology or Minor in Psychology must first apply and be accepted to the University at Buffalo. Students who have identified Psychology as their area of study will be listed as intended Psychology majors at the time of acceptance.

To be accepted into the major without provisions, students must complete 60 credits and earn a minimum 2.5 GPA in the following prerequisite courses:

Transfer students who have completed 60 credit hours but have not completed or have not earned the minimum-required 2.5 GPA in prerequisite courses may be provisionally accepted into the major.
How to Apply
To declare a major in psychology (either BA or BS) or a minor in psychology, please complete the Major/Minor Application Form. Submit the completed form and a UB Advisement Report to 283 Park Hall.
