Bin Xia is currently a Ph.D. candidate in American Studies. His research interest focuses on China-U.S. relations, China-U.S.-Africa trilateral interactions, globalization and global governance, as well as international organizations' function in promoting cooperation between countries.
“Working on an academic research is building a bridge between me and society. As a Ph.D. candidate, my academic work will be evaluated by professors and society. The Department of Transnational Studies nurtures me to have three functions: I have sufficient information to answer people's questions; I can assist people to find a solution; and I can help people understand new knowledge. Meanwhile, cooperation and interaction between professors and me as well as practice and exploration on a wide range of platforms lay a solid foundation for my ongoing academic research.” - Bin Xia
