Faculty Positions in Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry at the University at Buffalo invites applications for multiple faculty positions in chemistry related to human health and sustainable materials. These positions are part of a multi-faculty recruitment effort supported by the Office of the Provost under the Disciplinary Excellence Initiative, and the SUNY Empire Innovation Program.
Candidates with research interests in chemical synthesis, organometallic chemistry, synthetic methods development, organic materials, chemo-enzymatic synthesis and in the synthesis of complex molecules such as natural products, are particularly encouraged to apply. The Department of Chemistry at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, invites applications for a SUNY Empire Innovation Program faculty position in sustainable materials chemistry at the level of Associate or Full Professor. Candidates with research interests in the synthesis and/or study of advanced energy materials (batteries, fuel cells, phase change materials, thermoelectrics), water purification, microelectronics, recyclable polymers and plastics, and/or CO2 capture and conversion are especially encouraged to apply. It is likely that the candidate will leverage their program to study timely and important research problems related to clean energy.
This position is supported by SUNY’s Empire Innovation Program that funds the expansion of research excellence in strategic areas through the recruitment of top faculty that are recognized leaders of their fields.
