The following awards are made available to graduate students within the College of Arts and Sciences. Students who apply for and receive an assistantship remain eligible for these awards. Research funds are intended to support the research accomplishments of graduate students.

Student emergency funds seek to award grants to eligible students who are experiencing an unforeseen hardship that could impact their ability to remain enrolled in school. Temporary financial assistance is available for immediate and current emergency situations.

Students must be nominated by their academic unit to receive financial assistance via Presidential Fellowships, Dean's Scholarships and Schomburg Fellowships.

Sponsored by New York State, this program offers support for historically underrepresented students in graduate programs across the university.

The Graduate Opportunity Program (GOP; formerly GEOP) provides tuition scholarships to New York State residents who participated as undergraduates in certified EOP, HEOP or SEEK programs.

This fund provides grants to graduate students for research expenses related to their thesis or dissertation.
