The Joseph W. and Kenneth P. Kogut Brothers of New York Mills Development Award
This award was established in 2007 by Frederick J. Kogut, BA'60 & EDM'65 and his daughter, Nina F. Kogut-Akkum, in memory of Frederick's late brothers, Joseph W. Kogut, BA'66 and Kenneth P. Kogut, BA'64, both economics graduates.
Qualifications: Must be an undergraduate or graduate economics student engaged in activities beyond the required curriculum, related to the economic development of Africa and/or upstate New York, or any other activity related to the Peace Corps. As all three Kogut brothers played football, preference may be given to students who participate in collegiate athletics. Funds will not be applied to tuition, room or board. Requires one Faculty reference and one Faculty, Professional, or Academic reference.
Matthew Scarpati Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2010 by Mr. James and Mrs. Lynn Scarpati in memory of their son, Matthew Scarpati.
Qualifications: Must be an economics major who has completed the freshman year. Preference to those with a minimum 3.0 GPA, U.S citizens, and male students. Requires a reference letter from a fellow student.
To be eligible, students must be actively enrolled in courses for spring 2022. All applications will be reviewed beginning December 13th. Recipients will be announced early in the spring 2022 semester.
