Economics Honors Program

The Department of Economics would like to acknowledge excellent graduating seniors who have met the honors program requirements. These requirements are set to distinguish exceptional seniors among their peers and demonstrate a deeper understanding of Economics.

Combined Degrees

The Department of Economics offers two special combined degree tracks for undergraduate students with a qualifying GPA. Combined degrees allow students to complete both a bachelor's and master's degree in less time and tuition. This is possible because of a slight reduction in undergraduate courses created by overlapping electives. When completed, students’ records will indicate two degrees individually awarded as part of a combined degree program.

Notes
  • Each semester, after final grades are posted, we strongly encourage students to review their GPAs. Students new to the Economics program in or after fall 2019 must earn a 2.5 (or higher) GPA over all their Economics courses to graduate. Regularly checking your Academic Advisement Report on your HUB Student Center will help you easily verify your progress with regards to fulfilling your graduation requirements.
  • Departmental Honors are for Economics majors only.
