Information for Faculty and Staff

  • The university anticipates that decisions related to the fall 2020 semester will be made and communicated to the campus community in mid- to late June. Read the update from President Tripathi.
  • eReq Application Notification: All State eReqs on 2019-2020 Budget must be received by May 31, 2020. Receipt of goods and services must occur in the fiscal year in which they are paid. All goods and services must be received prior to July 1, 2020 to be charged to the 2019-2020 fiscal year.
  • Research Ramp-up Guidance and Resources
  • Townhall zoom meeting for arts departments Friday, May 29 at 10 a.m.
    • Presentations by Gerald Koudelka, CAS associate dean for research and sponsored programs and David Pawlowski, biosafety officer with UB Environment, Health and Safety. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
  • CAS Student Emergency Fund: Give to the College of Arts and Sciences student emergency fund to help students during the pandemic.

Online Training and Support

Resources for Students

  • Universal Emergency Funds: Students can apply for "Universal Emergency Funds" through UB Academic Works. These resources are available through the generosity of UB's donors and not resources from the CARES Act. UB Guidelines for distribution of CARES Act resources are not yet available.
  • Student Academic Resources: Academic Affairs has an extensive FAQ listed on their website for students with questions in relation to the transition to online learning.
  • Blue Table: students experiencing food insecurity can get support through Blue Table.
  • Health and Wellness: a variety of services are available to help students with their physical and mental health needs. Please refer students to counseling and health services.
