The passion that the department’s teachers have for the subjects they teach. The professors genuinely care about their students and push them to go farther in their research.
This is a tough question, but I think my favorite would be Crime and Punishment in America with Dr. Thornton because I found it really interesting how crime has evolved over time. I also found Dr. Daum’s Nazi Germany class very eye opening and it really broadened my view of the Nazi regime and how it functioned.
I love walking down Main St. in Downtown Buffalo because there are so many treasures along the way. Gold Dome, City Hall, Hotel Lafayette, and the Ellicott Square building are all architectural masterpieces that you can see getting off the train downtown!
I think I would want to have dinner with Steve Jobs. I think besides being a skilled business man and a dynamic speaker, I would like to hear his thoughts in general. After watching earlier interviews, I think he really had an interesting perspective on life and the world and that perspective and vision allowed him to achieve success.
