Prof. Hal Langfur published a new book, Adrift on an Inland Sea: Misinformation and the Limits of Empire in the Brazilian Backlands with Stanford University Press!

Dr. Molly Giblin (BA '03 and MA '05) was recently named the new Director of Programs for Princeton in Asia. In this role, Molly will lead the development, implementation, and improvement of PiA’s three programs: the core fellowship program for recent graduates, the Carriebright fellowship for recent alumni, and summer internships for Princeton undergraduates.

Professor Andreas Daum has published an online article with extensive biographical documentation on Georg Iggers, former SUNY Distinguished Professor, who taught for over three decades in our History Department; see “Georg Iggers,” in Deutsche Biographie.

On October 17, 2022 UB welcomed 34 VITAL Scholars (UB’s Visiting Future Faculty program). Of the 34 outstanding scholars 5 are PhD candidates in History. During their weeklong visit the VITAL Scholars will participate in workshops and events in the Department of History. The Department of History is pleased to welcome:
