Emily Bowlus-Peck Wins Yearley Prize

The UB History Department is pleased to announced that the winner of the 2021-22 Yearley Award is Emily Bowlus-Peck. The award is given each year to one extraordinary PhD student who has advanced to the dissertation writing stage. The 2021-22 award carries a prize of $3.000.

Bowlus-Peck is completing her dissertation under the direction of Professors James Bono and Claire Schen. She also served as the Department’s Professional Development Officer in 2020-21, and won the annual “Three-Minute Thesis” Competition in 2022.
