"Discovery of Self is a collection of pieces reflecting the delight of my childhood in India, the influence of my family and faith, and Indian philosophy. The hallmark moments that I reflect on and continue to lean into, provide direction and peace in my journey of life. My poems illustrate my own personal strivings and pursuits of a life well lived – and the successes and challenges in doing so." - Venu Govindaraju (from his website)

This event is organized by the UB Humanities Institute and the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, presented with The Poetry Collection (a UB Libraries Special Collection).
