The CMS Collaboration has recently published an article on the associated production of a Z boson with c- or b-quark jets [Phys. Rev. D102, 032007 (2020)
] -- the first of a kind measurement based on the LHC data collected at highest proton-proton collision energy of 13 TeV, and with surpassing precisions. The analysis has been performed by a group of UB experimentalists, including graduate students, and benefitted from close collaboration with UB’s high-energy physics theorists.
