About

Gregory Sharp, PhD, is an assistant professor in the UB Department of Sociology. He is an urban sociologist and social demographer interested in racial/ethnic inequality, community social organization and contextual effects on health and well-being. Prof. Sharp's current research examines the role of non-residential contexts (activity spaces) in shaping adult health; the trends, patterns and processes of racial/ethnic residential segregation, diversity and homeownership in America; and the changing nature of neighborhood attachment in Los Angeles.
