Dyan Burlingame is a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Director of Design and Technology here at UB, as well as a Freelance Scenographer. She has been a guest lecturer of design for the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) and for Niagara University, Niagara Falls, NY. Dyan is a resident designer for Road Less Traveled Productions and Neglia Ballet Artists. In Buffalo, she has designed for Shea’s Buffalo Theatre, Shakespeare in Delaware Park, Irish Classical Theatre Company, Rockwell Hall, UB Center for the Arts, Artpark, Jewish Repertory Theatre, City of Night Buffalo, Hallwall’s Artists and Models, Buffalo Botanical Gardens, and Mass Appeal. Nationally, Dyan has designed for BAV Services in Chicago, Houston, Bethesda, Hartford, Orlando, and Naples, as well as recently designing a new work for the Honolulu Theatre for Youth. She holds a BA in Theatre with a Minor in Archaeology from the University at Buffalo and a MFA in Stage Design from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas.
