ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Terry Berliner (she/her) is a New York City based director, choreographer, writer and educator. Recently she served as Interim Artistic Director for Merrimack Repertory Theatre where, this season, she directed Erma Bombeck: At Wit’s End (Boston Theater Critics Association, Elliot Norton Awards nomination for Outstanding Solo Performance and Outstanding Design). Her Broadway credits include resident/assistant director for The Lion King, The Sound of Music, The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife and The Red Shoes. Her work has been seen at regional theatres and universities across the country. For UB Terry has also directed and choreographed It Goes Like It Goes: The Music of David Shire and Return to the Forbidden Planet. Terry has written for American Theatre magazine, Theatre History Studies, Theatre Bay Area, Asolo Rep. (among others), and written and directed original theatrical productions for corporate clients including Theatre Development Fund (TDF), Vanguard, Intel, Mastercard and the PGA. She is currently developing and directing the new play Missing Pieces by Dayle Ann Hunt (produced by Judith Manocherian). Terry is a core faculty member at Peridance Capezio Center in New York City where she teaches Composition I & II and is a longstanding member of SDC and the Dramatists Guild. www.terryberliner.me

ABOUT THE DRAMATURG
Annette Daniels Taylor is an artist, and author of the poetry chapbooks, Street Pharmacist and other poetic tales, and Hush now poems to read aloud. Her debut YA novel, Dreams on Fire (October 2018) with West 44 books is an poetic urban teenage journey written in verse. An award-winning playwright, her drama A Little Bit of Paradise, won the 2008 Artie Award for Outstanding New Play.

A poet, artist, and storyteller interested in American public history, her practice includes performance, poetry, video, sound, and vocals. A 2018-19 New York State Public Humanities fellow, a 2016-18 Arthur A. Schomburg fellow with the Department of Media Study, SUNY University at Buffalo alum; a three-time NYSCA awarded artist; a Pink Door Poetry alum; and lead teaching artist with Young Audiences, Underground Railroad Residency of Western New York program.

A native of Staten Island, New York with roots in North and South Carolina, Annette Daniels Taylor’s storytelling practice reminds audiences of forgotten histories.
