Undergraduate Scholarships and Awards

Every year, several awards are made available to undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences thanks to the generosity of our donors and alumni.

The following awards are made available to undergraduate students within the College of Arts and Sciences.

Emergency Funds

Student emergency funds seek to award grants to eligible students who are experiencing an unforeseen hardship that could impact their ability to remain enrolled in school. Temporary financial assistance is available for immediate and current emergency situations. 

Applicants and First-Year Students

This scholarship supports students from the Western New York region who are driven to succeed academically and help others, and have been historically underrepresented in higher education. 

This scholarship hopes to raise awareness about UB's top-quality yet affordable education among high schools and individuals from the Greater Washington D.C. area.

Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors

This scholarship provides financial assistance for undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences with financial need and merit.

This award was created to reward a hard-working student who has demonstrated a commitment to the environment. The student must be a sophomore, junior or senior, and study in one of the disciplines taught by Professor Milbrath: Political Science, Sociology or Environmental Studies.

This endowed fund was created for the purpose of assisting financially disadvantaged students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences at UB. 

This fund provides critical financial assistance for students who are near graduation but due to an unexpected financial crisis may be unable to graduate.

This award is intended for College of Arts and Sciences student athletes in track and field.

This scholarship provides financial assistance for undergraduate students who are enrolled within the College of Arts and Sciences.

This fund was established to support undergraduate women in STEM majors who participate in UB's Women in Science and Engineering Program.

Experiential Learning

This fund was created for the purpose of assisting College of Arts and Sciences students in the pursuit of experiential learning opportunities. 

This fund will be used to provide experiential learning support to undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.

This fund provides financial support for experiential learning and out-of-classroom experiences for undergraduate students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds. Preference will be given to students from South America and Central America.

This fund will be used to provide annual experiential learning support to two undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.

These scholarship funds are intended to encourage undergraduate students majors in the College of Arts and Sciences to pursue international experiential learning opportunities. 

The fund is intended to support arts and humanities students desiring to pursue professional development activities to increase their exposure to the business world. 

This scholarship seeks entrepreneurial students interested in improving the Western New York Region.

These scholarship funds are intended to encourage undergraduate students majors in the College of Arts and Sciences to pursue opportunities for study abroad. 

Veterans

This award provides financial support to students who have served, or are currently serving, in the U.S. Military.

Foster Students

This award provides financial assistance to support the academic goals of eligible full and part-time students who are currently or were previously in foster care.

UB Office of Financial Aid

Experience shows that students and families who take the time to understand their options benefit by receiving the maximum amount of eligible aid. The UB Financial Aid team is ready and willing to provide assistance as you navigate this process. 

The Office of Student Accounts

The Office of Student Accounts provides up-to-date information on tuition and fees by semester. You can also receive walk-in assistance Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, at the Student Response Center, 1 Capen, North Campus.
