More about Xavier

Every student comes to UB with a unique story, goal(s), and aspiration(s). Learning about them, successfully guiding them, and being part of their academic journey are something that I enjoy as an advisor. The best part of my job is connecting students to support services and resources to help them succeed at UB and post-collegiate careers.

Advice and tips for students:
Go to class and stay organized with your coursework. As a college student, you may be tempted to procrastinate and leave things/assignments for the last minute. Don’t do this to yourself, and develop a great time management strategy that will help you be successful as a student and allow you to take care of your mental well-being.

Advice for first-year students:
If you have questions or concerns about anything, don’t be afraid to ask for help or guidance. Transitioning to college is never easy, so we (advisors/faculty/staff) are here to help you!

Interests/Hobbies:

  • Soccer (playing & coaching)
  • Zumba (Former instructor)
  • Latin Dance (Salsa)
  • Sports fan (Real Madrid, NYC FC, Buffalo Bills)
  • Explore Latin American & Hispanic Cultures/food 😊
