Guided tour of CaldodeCultivo's "Attica Now" Exhibition at BAS with Jalil Muntaqim, Friday, April 1, 2022

Jalil A. Muntaqim, a veteran member of the Black Panther Party and the Black Liberation Army and co-founder of the National Jericho Movement to Free All Political Prisoners, will lead a guided tour of CaldodeCultivo's Attica Now exhibition on view at Buffalo Arts Studio.

Attica Now, a multimedia exhibition currently on view at Buffalo Arts Studio, created by the collective CaldodeCultivo (which include Media Study PhD candidate Gabriela Cordoba Vivas and Art MFA candidate Unai Reglero), explores the legacies of the Attica Prison rebellion and massacre. 

As part of the programming, on Friday April 1st, 2022 beginning at 3PM, Jalil A. Muntaqim, a veteran member of the Black Panther Party and the Black Liberation Army, and co-founder of the National Jericho Movement to Free All Political Prisoners, will lead a guided tour and conversation about the exhibit and the Attica events. Jalil A. Muntaqim was released from prison to parole on October 6, 2020, after being confined for almost 50 years.
