    With commencement on the horizon, we are excited to share news of some of our students’ post-graduate plans. Sarah Internicola ‘21 (Urban & Public Policy Studies BA; Environmental Design minor) has been accepted to the Master in Urban Planning (MUP) program at New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service. Dylan Pisani ‘21 (Urban & Public Policy Studies BA; Nonprofit Leadership minor) will pursue a Master in Public Administration (MPA) degree at Marist College in the fall. Congratulations and best wishes to Sarah and Dylan!
  • Urban & Public Policy Studies student awarded Summer Fellowship

    Congratulations to Derar Lulu ‘22 on his acceptance to the Public Policy & International Affairs (PPIA) Junior Summer Institute Fellowship Program. The JSI is a rigorous academic graduate-level preparation program for undergraduate juniors committed to public service careers. Derar will attend the intensive 7-week program held at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College this summer before returning to UB for the ’21-’22 academic year. Derar plans to graduate in May ‘22 with a double major in Urban & Public Policy Studies and Economics, and a minor in Philosophy.

    We are pleased to announce the recipient of the 2021 Charles Haynie Memorial Award, Marina Coriale ’21. Throughout her time at UB, Marina has sought out numerous opportunities to engage in social advocacy and service on campus as well as in the broader community. Her focus on human rights, and in particular, the issue of violence against women both locally and globally, has made a lasting impact on those around her. Marina will graduate in May ’21 with majors in International Studies, Psychology, and Political Science. Congratulations, Marina!
