Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Abigail Cass is an artist, dance educator, and advocate committed to bringing the arts to those who need it most. In May 2019, she graduated magna cum laude from Sam Houston State University (SHSU) with a BFA in Dance, as well as an emphasis in Pilates body conditioning and Pilates teaching methods. While at SHSU, she performed in works by various faculty and students, premiered choreographic work, and presented academic research. A passion for outreach led her to join Chi Tau Epsilon Dance Honor Society (XTE), where she had the opportunity to organize, teach, and assist numerous community dance workshops for students of all ages. Most notably, she received SHSU’s Dance Service Award honoring her time and efforts as XTE’s 2017-2018 President. Currently, Abigail is a first-year student in the MFA Dance program at the University at Buffalo and is looking forward to continuing developing her artistic voice.
