Eric Deeb Weaver (Director/Choreographer) is thrilled to join the talented students and faculty at UB as the Guest Director/Choreographer for 9 to 5! Eric grew up performing in San Diego, CA and received his B.A. in Drama with Honors in Musical Theatre from the University of California, Irvine. He was fortunate to work professionally during college and make the move to NYC where he lived for over a decade as a member of Actor’s Equity performing all over nationally and internationally.

During the pandemic Eric moved to his husband’s hometown here in Buffalo where they have officially put down roots. Eric previously served as the Associate Artistic Director at the Historic Palace Theatre, and now is the Development Associate at MusicalFare Theatre. Recent production credits include: The Little Mermaid (Director), 42nd StreetPippinMatilda (Choreographer), and Young Frankenstein (Asst. Dir/Choreo.) all at the Historic Palace Theatre. Favorite performance credits include: Young Frankenstein (National Tour), 42nd Street (Boebe Productions), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Riverside Theatre, Musical Theatre West, Moonlight Theatre), Spamalot (Hilton Head), Funny Girl (Riverside Theatre), The Drowsy Chaperone (The Gallery Players), Kiss Me Kate (Westchester Broadway Theater), and the Principal Vocalist on Regent Cruises.

Upcoming projects in Buffalo include: The Rocky Horror Show (Kavinoky Theatre), Chicago (Asst. Dir./Choreo.) at Nardin Academy, in the cast of Showtune at MusicalFare, The Producers (Director/Choreo.) at the Lancaster Opera House, and adult dance classes with Second Generation Theatre! Eric is overjoyed to be so welcomed by the vibrant Buffalo theatre community, and especially can’t wait to share his love of theatre with all the fabulous students at UB!!
