The Department of Theatre and Dance engages emerging artists, scholars and audiences dedicated to sustaining and innovating the performing arts. Our department offers diverse programs that integrate rigorous training, critical understanding, and impassioned creation supported by close faculty mentorship and developed in collaboration with internationally recognized guest artists.

We train students for professional careers in the performing arts and educate thoughtful individuals eager to engage in global, 21st-century discourse. Our alumni regularly work in film, television and on stage and pursue advanced degrees at prestigious graduate programs. Recent graduates have appeared in "Black Panther," "Pippin," "Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark" and CBS's "Person of Interest." Alumni are also accepted to prestigious dance and theatre graduate programs across the country including The Ohio State University, Florida State University, Arizona State University and University of Utah.
