As an LGBTQ+ plus size painter and pastel artist dominantly, I use the human figure as a focal point. I strive to depict the humanity in us all, molding the figure with expressionistic representation. The main drive for my inspiration is human relationships between the self, community, and environment. I express my struggles as well as stories expressed by others, exploring emotions and trauma with a kaleidoscope of color. I turn these shared traumas into a therapeutic rainbow of self-expression. Pair that with my express colorization, I challenge the viewer to step into my work. I encourage the viewer to emote and relate to the subject. Step into the trauma, share or reject it, most importantly experience it.
