On September 20th, undergraduate and graduate students from the University at Buffalo Department of Communicative Disorders & Sciences proudly joined the Parkinson’s Foundation Moving Day Buffalo event!
Our students hosted an educational table to raise awareness and recruit participants for the SPEAK OUT!® Therapy Program and ongoing CDS research. They also led a SPEAK OUT! demonstration, showing how voice and speech therapy can empower people with Parkinson’s to “speak with intent.”
Beyond sharing knowledge, our UB team volunteered throughout the day — helping register attendees, cheer on walkers, and bring joy to families at the children’s tent.
We’re so proud of our students’ dedication, compassion, and advocacy for the Parkinson’s community!
