Kris Tjaden was awarded the SUNY Chancellor’s Award - Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities this year! This highly competitive award recognizes her impactful research, both from the perspective of basic and applied science. She has changed our field’s understanding of neurodegenerative diseases and their effects on speech production and has altered clinical practice to improve care for people living with these diseases. Equally important, her commitment to mentorship and service has significantly advanced the field of motor speech disorders.
