Jason Benedict wins the UB Innovative Teaching Award

UB's Teaching Innovation Award recognizes faculty members who have used new methods and approaches to teaching that have had a demonstrable effect on enhancing student-learning outcomes, including innovative uses of educational technology. As a member of UB Chemistry faculty, Jason has been a celebrated instructor of students at all levels, has improved and enhanced our physical chemical lab for undergraduate students, and has developed a wildly successful US Crystal Growing Competition (running for 8+ year), which has had a profound impact on introducing K-12 students to themes of crystallography, chemistry, and STEM.
