Madeline previously worked as Assistant Collections Manager and NAGPRA Coordinator at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, where she gained experience working with Native communities in and outside of New York state and spearheaded compliance efforts.  She presented on NAGPRA compliance work at the Wilson Museum at the Fall 2023 Maine Archives and Museums Conference, as well as speaking about her paper on decolonizing provenance research at the Northeastern University Spring 2024 Conference, “Revolution, Resistance, and Resilience in History”. Madeline is a member of the NAGPRA Community of Practice and Northeastern NAGPRA Community of Practice. Recently, Madeline participated in the content review session for the upcoming Indigenous Collections Care Guide through the School of Advanced Research.
