Laura Terrance is Akwesasne Mohawk, Wolf Clan. She was a University of California President’s Postdoctoral fellow before joining the faculty at UB. She has presented at Native American and Indigenous Studies conferences and American Studies Association conferences, among others, as well as several symposia. 

Laura Terrance’s research takes up questions of violence, civility, and embodiment within settler colonial contexts. Using various forms of media and cultural production, it employs Indigenous feminist and Black feminist frameworks to understand the workings of anti-colonial violence within a state of ongoing colonial violence against racialized and colonized peoples.
