Complexions Contemporary Ballet Comes to the UBCFA

Renowned New York City-based dance company Complexions Contemporary Ballet will take the stage at the University at Buffalo Center for the Arts (UBCFA) for one night only on March 28, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are now on sale and available at ubcfa.org, Ticketmaster or in person at the UBCFA Ticket Office.

The internationally acclaimed company will present a powerful program featuring audience favorites from its 30-year repertoire, followed by “Love Rocks” - set to the music of Grammy Award-winning artist, Lenny Kravitz. This high-energy work is an ode to love, humanity and an invitation to come together.

Led by dance icons Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson, Complexions Contemporary Ballet has awakened audiences to a new, exciting genre with their singular approach of reinventing dance and contemporary ballet. Armed with a rich Alvin Ailey lineage and a cadre of 16 stunning dancers, Complexions has been hailed as a “matchless American dance company” by the Philadelphia Inquirer, the company has been praised by The Guardian as “game-changing,” by BroadwayWorld as “absolutely wonderful,” and by Hollywood Soapbox for its powerful exploration of rock ’n’ roll and popular music through choreography.

“Presenting Complexions Contemporary Ballet reflects our ongoing commitment to bringing world-class, professional dance to Western New York,” says Jamie Enser, UBCFA executive director. “Their genre-defying work speaks to a wide range of audiences and reinforces our mission to make transformative performing arts experiences accessible to our community.”

Tickets are $44, $54 and $69. $20 student tickets are available at the UBCFA ticket office (ID required). Group ticket savings are also available for 10 or more.
