Two College of Arts and Sciences departments celebrate milestones

One hundred and one years ago, the Departments of Physics and Psychology at the University at Buffalo were formed.

Since 1919, the departments have welcomed students, conferred thousands of bachelors, masters and PhD degrees, conducted impressive research and built a strong alumni network.

While the centennial celebration was postponed last year due to the pandemic, the commemorative spirit to recognize the anniversary continues. Virtual celebrations to mark the momentous occasions are planned as part of UB Alumni Week.

On Saturday, June 5, 2021, virtual events will be hosted by the Departments of Physics and Psychology and include a welcome from Robin Schulze, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, remarks and memories from department leadership, faculty and alumni. Alumni and friends are invited to attend the online events and share in the celebration.
