Sojung Lim, Ph.D., is the Korea Foundation Professor of Korean Studies and an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at the University at Buffalo. Her research focuses on family demography in East Asia, work-family dynamics in the United States, and Asian American studies, with a particular emphasis on demographic change in South Korea. Currently, she is examining the structural and cultural factors influencing family formation in South Korea. She is also working on a project that collects high-quality survey data on Korean Americans in the United States—an understudied and increasingly significant population.
