Research and Teaching Statement

While I like basic research very much, I enjoy teaching. I feel that teaching, like learning, is a continuous process and evolves over time. With a long term goal to teach college students, I switched from pursuing research to undergraduate laboratory teaching. My role as an undergraduate lab instructor involves not only teaching, but also course improvement. I was involved in the development of a CRISPR lab, which was introduced to Bio 329 (Genetics laboratory) students in Fall 2017. I look forward to improving student laboratory learning experience.
