Assistant Dean for Student Success and Advising

Agnieszka (Agnes) Zak-Moskal, EdD, serves as the Assistant Dean for Student Success and Advising at the University at Buffalo College of Arts and Sciences. In her role she overseas academic advising, success coaching, experiential learning opportunities and scholarships for continuing students. Before joining UB in 2022, she held various leadership positions at both private and public institutions. Most recently, she was at Buffalo State University, SUNY, where she oversaw the implementation of a $2.19 million federal grant and served as the interim Assistant Provost for Academic Success.

As a dedicated higher education administrator, Agnes leverages cutting-edge research to advance student success. In addition to her administrative responsibilities, she teaches as an adjunct faculty member in the Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration graduate program at Buffalo State University, SUNY. Beyond that she serves as an external evaluator for the U.S. Department of Education’s Title III Strengthening Institutions Program and for grants from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
