Becky Brown and Joan Linder make work about technology, communication, fugitivity, and obsolescence. Their effervescent drawings and paintings are funny, complicated portraits of contemporary life through objects and language.

A two-person show with UB Department of Art professors Becky Brown and Joan Linder, “Permanence,” is open tomorrow through Oct. 18, with artist talks and an opening reception on Thursday Sept. 17. It is at SUNY Brockport’s Tower Fine Art Gallery, and is curated by Tate Shaw.
There will be a publication with an essay by Tina Rivers Ryan.
