Our Instagram feed posts feature Department exhibitions, our events, student work, and faculty achievements, and alumni "spotlights".

Our Instagram stories feature all of the above, plus additional news related to student, faculty, and alumni exhibtions and achievements; event news from our peer Departments and the UB entities; art news from the broader Western New York and SUNY art communities; arts-related job postings and ocassionally art content from museums and schools with similar subject areas to the UB Department of Art programs and missions.

If you are a current UB Student taking an Art or Art History class, or are an alumnus of the Department, DM and tag @ubuffaloart on Instagram when you post content about your art and professional achievements, so we can repost and showcase.

The Facebook page is mainly used for resharing content posted to our Instagram, at this time.

UBuffaloArt on YouTube

Our YouTube focuses on our Fall Visitng Artist Speaker Series, and also contains interviews and performance art pieces with students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the Department.

Request for Featuring Student, Faculty, and Alumni Content on Departmental Social Media Accounts

Reasonable effort is made to make the Department of Art's social media pages informative, accessible, and equitable. 

In an effort to expand the diversity of content and perspectives on these pages, in order to better represent the constituents that make up the Department, we invite submissions of content, to be reviewed and potentially shared on these pages.

Current UB students taking Art or Art History classes, Alumni who have graduated with majors or minors in the Department of Art, and current faculty and staff of the Department, may use the template below, to prepare materials to submit to the Art Resource Manager for review. Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis, as time permits, and submission does not guarantee that the content will be posted. 

This template is for requesting content to be featured on our main, permanent page "Feeds". 

Management and Concerns

The Art Resource Manager is the primary steward of the Department of Art social media accounts listed above. 

The pages are managed in accordance with the UB Comment GuidelinesPosts, comments, submissions and other content that violate these standards may be:

  • Removed from the site or page by content or page owner
  • Rejected from publication
