Help us honor the women once confined to the Buffalo State Asylum.

This special exhibition features photographed objects contributed by community members in remembrance of women institutionalized at the Buffalo State Asylum between 1880 and 1974.
Presented in conjunction with “Eighty-Six Reasons for Asylum Admission” by Kimberly Chapman, the installation creates a powerful dialogue between personal memory, institutional history, and contemporary art.
